The 2023 Game Developer Conference (GDC) is just around the corner and we’re already seeing some exciting announcements from companies big and small. This includes Rebuff Reality. dance dashA VR rhythm game played with your feet instead of your hands.
It’s similar to dance dance revolutionthe classic music video game series, dance dash Stomp your feet to the beat of high-energy dance songs for the highest possible score. You’ll also have to duck, dodge, and jump over various obstacles while avoiding virtual bear traps.
dance dash Its unique use of TrackStrap technology sets it apart from competing VR rhythm games. Instead of using your hands to interact with the virtual world, you strap a Meta Quest Touch or Valve Index controller to your feet and dance with your feet. There’s also a Full Body Tracking Mode (FTB) that introduces additional targets to hit, punch, and hit. Access to FBT mode requires an additional His VIVE Tracker.
Other interesting features include a digital cloud that reacts to your performance in real time, a free beat map editor that lets you design custom tracks, and a dedicated avatar import system that supports popular services such as: Ready Player MeIn the future, we plan to bring leg tracking to major VR platforms such as PlayStation VR and Quest Pro, and support hand tracking.
