Founded in 2019, PBW was created with a vision to bring together experts within the industry to drive blockchain awareness and adoption. According to Amar, the purpose of the conference was to address topics such as regulation and deep his technology, and to advance the industry as a whole.

Heading into 2023, the topics have expanded to include Web3, non-fungible tokens, the metaverse, and decentralized autonomous organizations. Amar said Web3’s growth is beneficial to the blockchain industry. This is because it has the potential to facilitate wider adoption of digital assets and open doors to other industries. He told Cointelegraph:

“Now that we are opening up to brands, we are talking about IP, we are talking about innovation, we are talking about marketing. So I think this Web3 move is very good because it will ultimately lead to mass adoption of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.”

On the impact of tech giant participation on the ecosystem, Amar said:

“We are very excited to have Google, Amazon or SAP at the event as we have Web2 players and tech giants. I am trying to make it happen.”

Amar raised concerns that the entry of Web2 companies would undermine Web3’s mission of decentralization, as well as retail and consumer brands. He believes that while the concentration of these companies is a concern, their resources, tools, platforms and investments can be used to drive change and bring more governance within the Web3 system. I’m here. These companies may never be fully decentralized, but Amar suggested that having something meaningful to decentralize is a step in the right direction.
