revealed a feature that helps users share the excitement of a date with their loved ones and also acts as a safety tool. The ‘Share Date’ feature allows users to share details of a scheduled date with a single link.
The URL includes details such as the meeting location, date and time, a photo of your opponent, and a link to their profile. Pages can also include notes. You can edit your date plan to provide up-to-date information to anyone you share the link with. You can set the date up to 30 days in advance in the app. For those lucky enough to have plenty of people to make IRL plans with, you can create an unlimited number of dates and share them with your loved ones.
Tinder says about 51% of users under 30 already share dating details with friends, and 19% of users do so with their moms. To be on the safe side, it’s a good idea to let someone know when and where you’re going on a date, as well as details about the person you’re meeting. Share My Date might make the process a little easier. Back in 2020, Match.com allowed users to send dating details to emergency contacts if things didn’t go well.
Tinder plans to roll out Share My Date over the next few months. It will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Mexico, Netherlands, Italy, South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand.
