By a lucky coincidence, a man was able to make his first purchase at Cartier at an incredibly low price.

Jasso said she was shocked to find the diamond and gold earrings listed for 237 pesos (about $13.98). In the video, he says he bought two pairs of earrings in haste (and broke out in a “cold sweat”) without realizing that Cartier had made a major mistake on their website.
The earrings were supposed to sell for 237,000 pesos, or approximately $13,975.

Yasso said. CBS Money Watch The retailer canceled his order and tried to compensate him for the mistake with champagne and a leather card holder, but he said he didn’t have it.
“When I contacted them after canceling my order, the first thing they said was two things,” he told the magazine. “First, they said the earrings were priced incorrectly. Then they said they couldn’t fulfill the order because they didn’t have the earrings in stock. Their reasoning was difficult to understand.”
Jasso then contacted Mexico’s Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office, and Cartier responded. The luxury retailer delivered the earrings to some lucky shoppers last week. The incident was documented in his post on X, which has now been viewed more than 4.7 million times.

“I was very happy when the earrings arrived, but the reality is that earrings are more than just a purchase,” he said. “While I was well aware of my rights as a consumer, not everyone is. Therefore, this case is a serious challenge to my fundamental rights, including those protected under consumer law. It helps make Mexicans aware.”
Cartier did not immediately respond. Entrepreneur’s Request for comments.
