In April, a new luxury wellness and longevity club opened in London’s wealthy Knightsbridge district.
However, the word “budding” may not be appropriate.
Surrenne is a four-storey, 2,000 square meter gym and spa built in the basement of the Emory and Berkeley luxury hotels near Hyde Park, in the heart of one of London’s most expensive and exclusive areas.
The space was designed by Inge Theron, creative director of Maybourne Hotel Group and founder of FaceGym. From the temperature to the smell to the color, she made every detail of her Surrenne so exquisitely perfect.
But there was science behind her choice. A psychologist was consulted on the colors and lighting in each room to enhance the atmosphere. Meanwhile, the sound system is enhanced by her AI and you will never hear the same song twice during your stay.
Surrene’s quiet elegance is so calming that it’s easy to forget you’re in the heart of London. Only a faint sewage-like smell wafting in some corners of the club was a brief reminder during my visit. It was a sore point that the staff covered up with candlelight.
In addition to beautiful décor, Surrenne has assembled an all-star lineup of the best health, fitness, and beauty gurus.
“We have carefully selected a group of world-renowned thought leaders at a level never before seen in the UK. People who drive human performance at all levels through science, diagnostics, fitness and more. ,” creative director Theron told Business Insider.

Products from Dr. Lara Devgan and Stella McCartney are also available, as well as Theron’s own brand FaceGym. Nutritionist Rose Ferguson consulted on the cafe’s menu, and Dr. Mark Mikhail from Three Peaks Health is the club’s in-house medical consultant.
And Tracy Anderson.
The celebrity-purchased fitness icon has secured an entire floor at Suresnes for her first studio in the UK. The only studio in Europe is located in Madrid.
A membership that gives you access to all of this beauty and expertise will set you back $12,550 annually, not including the $6,250 joining fee. The club is complimentary to ground level guests of The Emory Hotel or The Berkeley Hotel.
However, membership is initially limited to 100 people, and Theron hopes to fill the club with a like-minded community who are passionate about improving all aspects of health and well-being.
She has already selected some tastemakers to uplift the community.
“There may be a relatively small number of people who have the same interests, and they may travel a lot for work or play, but what they really want is to be at the best club in London right now and to look after their health and well-being. It’s like having your fitness journey planned for you. It’s all under one roof,” Theron said.
If you’re unlikely or unable to participate, here’s what you’ll get as a member of Surrenne.
