In addition to the new iPad lineup, Apple is revealed The pencil has been overhauled today as well. The Apple Pencil Pro’s barrel has a new sensor that accepts your grip. This action allows you to do things like display the Tools palette, so you don’t have to manually tap the Tools palette with your free hand. Apple says you can also use gestures to activate shortcuts and other actions. Additionally, haptic feedback lets you know when a grip is accepted or when something moved clicks into place. Apple has also added Roll His gestures that take advantage of the new gyroscope “for precise control” over the tools you’re using.
The new Apple Pencil features Find My, which gives you extra support if you lose it. And, as always, the new version also magnetically pairs, charges, and stores to your iPad Pro. According to Apple, developers can use the new gestures to create their own actions, so you can expect them to be customizable based on the iPad app you’re using. Apple Pencil Pro works with the new iPad Pro as well as the new iPad Air, so there are multiple Pencil options for more affordable iPads.
