Private Eye Takayuki Yagami second adventure; A spin-off of Sega’s popular, gritty and complex Ryu ga Gotoku story. He lives in the same Kamurocho area, the same Yakuza roam the streets, and there are occasional crossovers between side story characters and, well, weirdos. But instead of punching a thug in the face in the name of justice or honor, that was Yakuza style. Protagonist Kazuya Kiryu, Yagami, uses his lawyer badge, drone evidence powers to fight, and…sometimes (frequently) kick bad guys in the face.
The sequel is even more of a TV soap opera of sorts, with fights, chases, and melodrama sprinkled throughout. For those who’ve played the series before, it treads familiar territory, but centers on issues of bullying and suicide in a Japanese high school, with a myriad of conspiracies involving the legal system, politics, and organized crime. The story is more serious and realistic.
Yagami has multiple fighting styles to master, and plenty of activities to spend even more time on, including romance, a batting center, mahjong, and a skate park. On PS5, loss of judgment Looks great.
