The Google leak was reported on Monday. 404 Media Google has revealed six years of silence about privacy and security issues, including one where a Google contractor accidentally Leaking Nintendo game releases.
The media outlet reported that it had obtained an internal database from an anonymous source and that Google had confirmed some of the leaks.
“At Google, employees can immediately report potential product issues for review by the relevant team,” Google said in a statement to 404 Media. “The reports obtained by 404 are examples of such reports, dating back more than six years. All issues were reviewed and resolved at the time.”

The report lays out thousands of internal privacy and security issues that Google tracked between 2013 and 2018.
For example, in 2017, a contractor was reported to have used administrative privileges to download and watch private videos. Game Trailer They shared screenshots of the trailer on Nintendo’s YouTube channel with a friend, who then posted them on Reddit.
An internal Google investigation determined the incident was “unintentional.” Nintendo released a trailer for the game in 2017 and released the game Yoshi’s Crafted World on the Switch in 2019.
Other privacy issues highlighted in recent leaks include Google making YouTube recommendations based on deleted viewing history and finding that someone had been manipulating customers’ marketing accounts on the company’s advertising platform.
There have also been data vulnerabilities, such as Google’s acquisition of Socratic.org, where the email addresses of over a million of its users were exposed for over a year.

Google Waze Acquired Toyota, which was acquired for $1.3 billion in 2013, also had a ride-sharing feature that leaked users’ routes and home addresses.
In another incident, Google misused Google Street View in 2016 to read and store thousands of vehicle license plate numbers.

Employees reported the issue and Google erased the data.
Google recently suffered another major internal leak: last week, 2,500 internal documents were released that revealed how the tech giant, which controls 90% of the global search engine market, really thinks about ranking search results.
Some of the internal Google documents revealed in the leak contradicted public comments the company has made, including about how much clicks affect rankings.
