Butterfield Mortgages has announced the appointment of a new credit manager who will join the credit risk team after completing an apprenticeship program with a leading mortgage lender.
Navishna Arcson started her career as an apprentice in the Front of House team and successfully completed her Data Technician qualification. She will now report to Anthony Neville, Head of Credit Risk at Butterfield Mortgages, who will take on her new credit risk role.
Arcson’s responsibilities include maintaining Butterfield Mortgage’s loan book, as well as documenting letters to facilities, communicating with attorneys and appraisers, and closing new and renewal mortgage loans.
Mr. Arkson’s appointment exemplifies Butterfield Mortgages’ commitment to providing an accessible pathway to financial services. Past graduates of the apprenticeship scheme have gained their ACCA Accounting qualification while working for Butterfield Mortgages and have gone on to hold senior roles at large companies, including well-known international banks. The financier currently has another apprentice working to support her compliance team.
Arcson said: “Thanks to the Butterfield Mortgages apprenticeship program, I was able to gain valuable work experience working at the front desk while also being able to qualify as a data technician. , I gained a deep understanding of Butterfield and the wider lending industry and was able to put what I learned into practice immediately.
“I am looking forward to starting my new role, leveraging my qualifications to further develop my skills and contributing to the credit risk team.”
